Pardeep Sandhu - CEO

Prior to forming SPS in 2018, Pardeep played a key role in determining the global strategies of brands such as Vodafone and Orange over almost two decades. During that time he established a keen interest in the local property market establishing a small buy to let portfolio and saw a significant opportunity in the West Midlands for a niche property investment business specialising in high quality refurbs and conversions. Smart Property Solutions is led by CEO Pardeep Sandhu, an entrepreneur whose previous career as a top corporate strategist ensures that SPS’s strategic vision has always been very clear from the outset.
Prior to forming SPS in 2018, Pardeep played a key role in determining the global strategies of brands such as Vodafone and Orange over almost two decades. During that time he established a keen interest in the local property market establishing a small buy to let portfolio and saw a significant opportunity in the West Midlands for a niche property investment business specialising in high quality refurbs and conversions. Smart Property Solutions was formed to capitalise on this opportunity, and went on toestablish an excellent reputation for the quality of its projects. 2020 has seen a significant increase in the number of pipeline opportunities coming across Pardeep’s desk: “With our local knowledge we’re perfectly placed to take advantage, which is why 2020 has seen us make a concerted effort to grow the development side of the business.”
Pardeep believes it’s this local knowledge coupled with the deep experience of his team that are critical to SPS’s success: “There’s great potential in the conversion segment right now, particularly in the Midlands, and a whole raft of new Permitted Development Rights that have created some really exciting opportunities. But making the most of these opportunities requires an experienced team. It’s all about having the vision to maximise the value from the right projects. That’s why I was determined to bring in people who had a real depth of experience and a proven track record.”With numerous new projects in the pipeline, Pardeep and the team are prepared for a very busy 2021 and beyond: “These are exciting times, and I believe we’ll see even more opportunities arise as we move through 2021”.

Steve Newcombe - Non Executive Advisor

Steve has been in the construction industry since 1982 and is experienced in a range of areas, with the majority of his experience being in the role of Employer’s Agent or Quantity Surveyor in both pre and post contract processes.

Steve is also versed in risk management and project management and has experience as a partnering advisor.

Steve is recognised as one of the UK’s leading experts in Employer’s Agent Services, speaking at seminars and CPD events. The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors commissioned Steve to be the technical author for their guidance notes for employers’ agents.

Steve brings a calm and tenacious approach to delivering projects both externally and internally, encouraging the team to stay focused on the objectives and outcomes needed.

Rob King - Non Executive Advisor

Rob King has run his own business specialising in the commercial to residential property development sector across Hampshire, Surrey, Warwickshire and London for almost two decades.

“I started this business nearly 20 years ago," he said. "Initially it was something I did part-time alongside my day job in IT. I soon realised my real passion was for property development and my success in this venture allowed me to leave my job in IT and focus full time on King Property.”

Chris Pearce - Senior Contracts Manager

With over 30 years’ experience ranging from Site Manager to a Senior Contracts Manager for over 7 years, Chris now runs his own Construction Management Company working very closely with Developers providing a full end to end managed service.

Chris has demonstrable experience in skilled negotiations, budgeting, value engineering, and cost management.

Inder S Thatal - Principal Designer and CDM Advisor

With over 20 years’ experience in building consultancy, Inder Thatal is a building surveyor with an architectural background, as well as a principal designer and CDM advisor.

Inder's skills and abilities include undertaking design work, preparing planning and building regulation drawings (CAD), specification writing, contract administration, and quality monitoring.
Inder specialises in projects ranging from residential to industrial, commercial, hotel and involved new build schemes, spatial adaptation and re-modelling, conversions, and extensions.

A core member of the team, Inder brings a positive mix of experience, talent and passion.

Mike Sandhu - Director at SC Architecture

Mike has been in construction for over 20 years and has built an outstanding reputation. He specialises in planning applications and building regulations approvals; new builds and refurbishments both residential and commercial.

Mike is a Director at SC Architecture which is a RIBA chartered practice with a wealth of experience gained as a former architectural wing of Stephens Cox Associates.
